How will my order be sent?
All our orders are dispatched using a fully tracked 24hr service. Not only does our courier provide a reliable, high quality service but also offers a host of benefits to make receiving deliveries easier for our customers.
Although we cannot specify a time window (unless an upgraded service has been paid for) the courier will send an estimated window for your delivery once they are en-route.
If you are unable for any reason to make your delivery time, you can arrange with the to change delivery dates, deliver to a trusted neighbour, leave the parcel in a specified safe place (at your risk), change the delivery destination, or upgrade your delivery to a timed or weekend service.
Does someone need to be present to accept delivery?
As many of the items are perishable our default instruction to couriers is to leave the parcel in a safe place if no one is available. If you wish to specify any delivery instructions you can do so in the Courier/Delivery Notes box at checkout, any instruction you add to this box will override our default instructions. Please note that if instructions are specified and these are adhered to by the courier, the parcel will be considered as delivered 'as per instructions' safely and any responsibility for damage or loss as a result rests with the buyer.shelf life on hampers?
Recycling & Sustainability
We send our frozen products in Polystyrene boxes which are 100% recyclable where facilities exist. The reason we use these boxes is because perishable items that are shipped in Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) have a longer shelf life, reducing food waste. It is also the safest method of transporting temperature-controlled goods. Polystyrene also has strong environmental credentials. It is extremely lightweight, insulates efficiently, and has a low carbon footprint given that 98% of it is air. Neither does it generate waste while being manufactured.
Repurposing polystyrene isn’t as difficult as you might think. Here are a few ideas:
• Plants such as tomato plants can be potted and grown inside the larger boxes making them easier to move around rather than grow bags (also plastic)
• As a thermal cool box for frozen or chilled products - ideal for picnics
• As a drinks 'ice bucket' - perfect for the garden or BBQ's
• To stuff toys, cushions, or bean bags (in the case of packing beads) For further information regarding polystyrene, we suggest visiting https://www.fswaste.co.uk/2021/02/is-polystyrene-recyclable/
Our insulated thermal bags can also be re-purposed. Here's a great idea from one of our customers:
To use these as radiator backing insulation, simply cut along side seams carefully then place behind radiators in the rooms forcing heat to go back into the room and not out through the walls.
Pasties that pay for themselves!
How Long Will Frozen Pasties Keep In The Freezer?
Different producers provide different advice on this but as a guideline, pasties should keep in the freezer for 6 - 9 months (though you will never resist them for that long!)
Please note, pre-baked versions should be kept chilled and cannot be frozen on receipt.
How do I cook my pasties?
As all pasties vary in size, pastry and filling, for the best cooking results we have added the producers cooking guidelines for each pasty to their specific product page. However, as a rule of thumb, frozen pasties should always baked from frozen. Pre-heat oven to 190C (375F). Place on a lined baking tray and bake in the center of the oven for 50 to 60 minutes depending on size (40-50) mins for cocktail) until pasty is golden brown and filling is piping hot (over 90C). Pre-baked pasties can be heated from chilled using the same guidelines with a reduced time of 25-30 mins.
What payment options do we accept?
We accept all major credit and debit cards (with the exception of AMEX) as well as Paypal payments as methods of payment on Our Site.
How can we guarantee frozen delivery (non pre-baked)?
As part of a larger company structure we also run logistic company which is based directly next door to our warehouse. This means that orders are kept in a freezer right up until the very last moment and only removed just as the trunk is about to leave Cornwall minimising the hours spent in transit. This reduced exposure coupled with our specially selected thermal 48hr tested packaging and additional ice packs means that with all orders sent on a 24hr service, they should easily reach their destination with plenty of time to spare.
How do i know if my pasties are ok to freeze on delivery?
This information is for fresh/frozen pasties only. Pre-baked pasties should not be frozen on receipt. On fresh frozen pasties, we would expect some cosmetic thawing of the outer pastry to occur during transit however, beyond this the pasties should arrive in a frozen state with the inner filling of the pasty being completely frozen. Our packaging is tested to keep the products in a frozen state for up to 48hrs however, if on receipt thawing has occurred beyond the level expected or you are unsure, please contact us for advice before freezing or consuming the pasties.
My Pasties Haven't Arrived Yet?
APC deliver to domestic properties between 8:00am and 6:00pm but this can be slightly later at peak times of year. Although almost all orders are delivered on schedule there are the rare occasions where they can trip over into the following day due to congestion or network problems.
If this happens, please don't worry, our packaging is temperature tested to maintain the products in a frozen state for up to 48hrs after leaving our warehouse and should still arrive in a frozen state. If delivery is delayed, please check the pasties on arrival to ensure they are still frozen, if significant thawing has occurred please do not consume or refreeze the product and contact us straight away so we can correct the situation for you.
Are product illustrations representative of what is included?
Although we make every effort to make our images representative, images on the site are for illustration purposes only and the hampers do not include any of the cutlery, crockery or kitchen utensils shown in the lifestyle images. If in any doubt about the contents of a hamper, please refer to the hamper contents list provided.
